This was not the blog post I originally intended on writing however it is the post I've been forced to write after getting caught up in the British Airways "power surge" fiasco. My family and I were on our way to Sardinia for a week in the sun and the few of us who managed to check in our luggage were (after several hours of waiting around) informed that all flights were cancelled...and that we wouldn't be getting our bags back. We fortunately managed to find new flights on a different day with a different airline but with no sign of our luggage returning anytime soon the day before we left my parents and I rushed to our nearest shopping centre and did a mad dash in almost every shop in an attempt to recreate our beautifully and carefully curated holiday wardrobes.
So instead of some shots of the outfits that I had been planning for months leading up to this trip here are a few of the looks I put together using a mixture of some last minute buys and a few "old faithfuls" from previous years.
Dress - H&M
Sandals - H&M
Sunglasses - Primark
Dress - Next
Top - Karen Millen
Trousers - Primark
Sandals - H&M
Bag - ASOS
Dress - Dorothy Perkins
Inflatable Flamingo - Primark (not a styling point but highly recommended)
So I hope you enjoyed my story of probably the most stressful shopping trip of my life and found some inspiration from the pieces in the post. And lastly if you ever find yourself in this situation where you need to do some serious last minute shopping on a very tight budget know that Primark will probably be your saviour as it was definitely mine!
Happy Shopping!
